Anita Langham is a self-taught artist living in North Cornwall. She works in mixed media (acrylic, collage, inks, charcoal, oil pastels) to create vibrant, richly textured paintings which capture the essence and presence of the subject. Her inspiration comes from the Cornish land and sea, which she has been drawing since childhood, and also from painters such as Joan Eardley and Kyffin Williams, who have also drawn their subject matter from detailed study of their locality. Cornwall offers a rich seam to fuel a life-long investigation of its rocks and cliffs, shores and valleys.

In 2013, Anita successfully completed a year-long challenge to do a painting a week, and post it on her blog onepaintingaweek and gained an immediate following. Since then, she's continued to draw and paint the local landscape, whilst venturing into other subject areas such as animal and plant studies, and larger-scale works.

She exhibits locally and nationally, and has work in private collections worldwide. She has exhibited in the London Menier Gallery with the National Society of Painters, Sculptors & Printmakers.
